Well, if that title didn't scare you off, I don't know what will.

I have such a love/hate relationship with exercise. Definitely, a daily struggle. The funny thing is, I always feel so great after I do it, but I have trouble staying consistent.

Every few months I think I'm really going to get an exercise schedule together and stick with it. That lasts for about a week. Do you go through the same thing?

3:30 AM was the magic time for me when I was still doing the radio thing. It really set the tone for the day and I didn't have to worry about fitting into my day after work. Not sure what it was, but I was consistent, ate well and kept in really good shape. This morning I got up at 4:45 AM with full intention to do my Yoga with weights session. What did I do? I sat on the couch with my dog, Potato, drank coffee and scrolled through my feed on Facebook. Now I feel guilty and wonder why I didn't just do it.

I hate to keep bringing up my age, but I am now 50 and I know I need to set realistic goals even though I know I can still Kick and Stretch, with the best of them! Just can't get motivated like I used too.

Could it, possibly, start again with this Blog? I am the type of person that needs to be held accountable. If I am being watched and have the goal to help others I think I can do this! Would this a help to motivate you?

My Husband and I love Yoga. We use the website They have a great app that you can find on your streaming device or smart tv. We love it because it's not all "Zen and Rainbows." It has programs that have several classes from Beginner to Advanced. There are Bootcamps, Detox Classes, Yoga with weights and so much more! Variety is key for me. The same exercise routine over and over does nothing but bore me. These programs will give you exactly what you want.

The one I will start with is "The 21-Day Full Body Fitness Bootcamp - Get Sculpted." It consists of 6 days of hard work and one day of stretching and appreciation for 21 days. This program is not as easy as you think, but I know you can do it!

Don't let the price scare you - they have subscriptions at different price points and a trial to see if you like it. I am not making any money off of this - just want you to know about a great service.

There are many people in my life that have arthritis and they tend to be really sore after workouts.

My essential oil recipe this week is an amazing Arthritis Mix. I make it for neighbors, friends and family. Almost everyone I have given it to swears by it. They feel less pain and can move much easier. Movement is key to helping people with arthritis pain.

The essential oils used in this recipe are some of the staple oils I use constantly in my recipes.

It is so hard to eat healthy when you work 40 or more hours a week. On weekends I try to do as much food preparation for the week as I can. It is a tall order, but it really pays off. I eat healthier and don't snack on unhealthy items as much. We always keep vegetables and fruit around. If the fruit is going to go bad before we can eat it, we will cut them up and freeze them to use in yogurt or by themselves with a drizzle of honey.

Preparing my lunch to bring to work was not only healthier, but it also saved me a lot of money!

Here is one of our favorite lunch recipes. Chicken salad with red grapes and toasted pecans.

This book has changed my life. "52 Small Changes: One Year to a Happier, Healthier You" by Brett Blumenthal. It is a book that takes you a year to read. Don't let that freak you out. I read one chapter every Monday. They are short and sweet. It helps you physically and emotionally. Honestly, nothing you will read seems out of reach. If it seems hard to make the changes, the book suggests ways to make it easier. Just try it - it can be pretty motivating.

Can we do it? I think we can. I will share what does and doesn't work for me. I would love to hear what motivates you. Let's help each other!

'Til Next Week (Zen & Rainbows,)
