Easy Christmas Gift #1

DIY is big in the Dodge Household

I love making gifts for family and friends. I also make things as a treat for myself. I crave the feeling of accomplishment. Below is a great recipe for Homemade Wax Melts. There are two different scents. One will remind you of your favorite coffee shop and the other is nothing but pumpkins galore!

You can use Soy Wax, Bees Wax or (my favorite) Palm Wax. Palm Wax will pop right out of your Wax Burner when it is solid - the clean up is super easy. That's why I like it so much.

COFFEE SCENTED WAX MELTS

2 Cups Soy, Bees or Palm Wax

Ground Coffee

Ground Cinnamon

25 Drops Cinnamon Essential Oil

25 Drops Coffee Essential Oil

30 Drops Vanilla essential Oil

Silicone Molds (Like this one)

Fill each silicone cavity with a sprinkle of ground coffee and ground cinnamon.

Melt the wax (instructions on how to melt the wax below) - after wax is melted add the essential oils and stir.

Pour into silicone molds and let cool and solidify.

MELTING THE WAX

I get all of my accessories at Dollar General so I don't feel bad beating them up with my projects.

One Burner

One Pot

One Glass Measuring Cup

Fill the pot with water and place the measuring cup in with the wax of your choice.

It may take a while to melt, but make sure to stir every once in a while to help the process. Pour the wax right from the measuring cup into the silicone mold.

Super easy and the clean up is minimal.

PUMPKIN SPICE WAX MELTS

2 Cups Soy, Bees or Palm Wax

Pumpkin Pie Spice

20 Drops Cinnamon Essential Oil

15 Drops Nutmeg Essential Oil

15 Drops Ginger Essential Oil

15 Drops Clove Essential Oil

10 Drops Orange Essential Oil

10 Drops Cardamom Essential Oil

Before pouring wax into silicone molds make sure to sprinkle a little pumpkin pie spice into them first.

This is a nice stocking stuffer and you save a lot of money. Wax is readily available online or in any Hobby store.

Happy Melting!!!!
