Homemade Febreze

This is what you need for this recipe:

1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda

20 drops of essential oil or blend

Distilled water

Small funnel

16 oz.  colored glass spray bottle.

Put baking soda into a small mixing bowl and mix in essential oils (I buy mine Here.)

The baking soda should clump up a little.

Use a funnel to get the baking soda mixture into the spray bottle.  Use a colored glass bottle because sunlight can affect your essential oils.   I have found that this one is a pretty durable bottle.

Fill the bottle with warm water and shake to dissolve the baking soda.

Make sure you shake the bottle before each use.

This is my favorite blend that I spray on my pillows and bedding.

Relaxing blend:

10 drops of Lavender oil

5 drops of Rose Geranium oil (You can use Rose oil also, but the Rose Geranium oil is cheaper and smells about the same.)

5 Drops of Vetiver oil or 10 drops of Cedarwood oil

One last note: When buying essential oils.  Make sure the only ingredient is what the oil is extracted from and has the scientific name of the plant or herb.

For example: Lavender essential oil's only ingredient should be Lavender (Lavandula.)

Enjoy having a fresh smelling home without all of the chemicals!
